Pearls of Infinity is Abdus Salaam’s third consecutive solo exhibition at Abu Dhabi Art. This body of work is about the infinite within the finite and the oneness or تَ ْو ِحيد Tawheed of existence. Expressed across painting and sculpture this year’s works refer to the five pillars of Islam as well as other key aspects of the faith-culture and how they relate to universal attributes within nature. Drawing inspiration of form from the prayer, seeds, flowers, Hajj, Ramadan, and Abu Dhabi’s rich history, this is Abdus Salaam’s most comprehensive solo at Abu Dhabi Art to date.
